Try a business app without signing up: our demo company
To try Swiftly Workspace without an account, tap Try the demo on the sign-in screen, type a name and tap Start exploring. You join a shared sample company with customers, projects and invoices for up to seven days, and you can sign up for your own company.
A demo is a quick way to see whether an app fits how you work, before you hand over an email address. In the app's own words: "No account, no email, no commitment." Here is what you get, what to keep in mind, and how to move on when you are ready.
How to start the demo
- Open the app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. The welcome screens include a demo page, and the sign-in screen has a Try the demo button.
- Tap Try the demo. The Explore the demo sheet opens.
- Type a name in Your name. Any name of up to 60 characters works.
- Tap Start exploring. The workspace opens, with a banner that reads You're exploring a demo workspace and shows how long you have left.
When the demo is available, that is all it takes. There is no email address and no password. The privacy page says that the display name you enter is the one thing processed, and that demo visitor data is deactivated after seven days and deleted after fourteen.
What the demo company is
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Whose company is it? | One sample company that every demo visitor shares. It stays in place between visits. |
| What is in it? | Sample customers, projects, invoices and more, so screens are filled in from the start. |
| What can I do? | Visitors get the Standard role: full access to the business data, without company administration. |
| What can't I change? | The demo company's own details and settings. |
| How long does it last? | Up to seven days. On the same device you can come back to it within that time. |
Because the company is shared, other visitors may see what you add, and you will see their work too. Keep real customer names and real figures out of it.
The company also has sample staff who keep it busy. Their changes show up in a record's history, and a few minutes after you join, one of them may submit a timesheet.
Things to try
- Open a customer and look through its contacts, addresses and invoices.
- Look at the invoices and start a new one as a draft, to see how a document is put together.
- Open a project and look at its phases, work packages and tasks.
- On a Mac, open a few records side by side in their own windows. Business software for the Mac explains why that matters on a desktop.
Step-by-step tours follow in exploring the demo on iPhone or iPad and exploring the demo on Mac. For what the visitor role can and cannot do, see what the Standard role covers.
When you are ready for your own company
Tap Sign up to keep Workspace in the banner, or choose Create Real Account from the menu if you dismissed the banner. You sign up as usual and create a fresh company of your own. Nothing from the demo comes with you, so the sample data stays behind. The demo keeps running in the background until your new account is active, so you can stop halfway and carry on exploring.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an email address to try the demo?
No. You type a name and start. An email address comes in when you sign up for your own company.
Can other people see what I enter in the demo?
Yes, they can. The demo company is shared by every visitor, so treat anything you type as visible to others and use made-up data.
Does my demo data carry over when I sign up?
No. Signing up creates a new, empty company for you. Set it up with your own data, or import it from a spreadsheet once you are in.
